Our latest event was in London, November 23-34.

The Computer Vision Summit was a fantastic success, and we’re always happy to know that our attendees had a wonderful time.

We asked a few of them for their thoughts on the event - here’s what they had to say.

How did you find the Computer Vision Summit?

I think it was very exciting. It was super interesting to hear about many companies, like The LEGO Group, where you wouldn’t expect them to do so much with computer vision, specifically, and data and machine learning.

What were your key takeaways?

One key learning is maybe something we already know as well. It’s harder than it looks. And it doesn't really matter what environment or what company you're a part of; it's their struggles, it’s figuring out what's best. It's also figuring out how you generate business value at the end of the day.

And in three words?

Let's do more!

Francesc Joan Riera
Senior ML Engineer, The LEGO Group

How did you find the Computer Vision Summit?

I found it really interesting. I spend more time in academic events, and it's really nice to hear about the practical challenges computer vision practitioners have. Obviously, I use it practically, so I have my own, but it's nice to hear about other people's challenges and how they solve them.

What were your key takeaways?

There're a lot of different philosophies as to how to innovate. And most of them seem profitable, and innovation is very valuable. And there isn't one way to crack that nut.

And in three words?

Interesting, practical, and diverse.

Phil Teare
Director, Computer Vision, AstraZeneca

How did you find the Computer Vision Summit?

It was really interesting, I really enjoyed it. To see a mixture of different computer vision scientists coming from different disciplines, and working on different applications. We’re sharing the same problems, and using similar methods to solve them, which is pretty interesting.

What were your key takeaways?

Learning about state-of-the-art methods in real-world applications. It's very interesting.

And in three words?

Innovative, networking, collaborative.

Roushanak Rahmat
AI Research Scientist, Elekta

How did you find the Computer Vision Summit?

You know, you got to keep pushing, keep innovating. There's so much more that you can make happen. And, events like these – getting connected with your peers and learning from others – I think they're the way to go.

And in three words?

Exciting, enriching, and innovative.

Karan Bedi
Digital and Technology Innovation Leader, Avery Dennison
